I'll dominate 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming bout.

Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the novice remains one of boxing's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
