'Candy game'

The prosecutor, prosecuting, outlined the criminal behavior to the judicial body.

She told the court the defendant had engaged in this activity with the young males "over an extended period", and minors had previously become sick the following morning.

The prosecutor added: "This year his family member had concerns about what was going on, for good reason.

"They chose" to have a look in the individual's items."

Mrs Prior KC explained objects including baby oil, ointment and injection devices were found, and his stepson alerted the police about his suspicions.

She said Ruben proceeded to conduct the "candy game" with six youngsters that time - Saturday 26 July - and they were everyone unwell the subsequent day.

"The police had not gone out by that stage," she continued.

The regulatory agency, the police conduct office, had stated that it was investigating law enforcement's management of the situation.
