An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

The arrests come after a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was among the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and were later discharged.

Officers arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals injured by an irritating chemical thought to be pepper spray.

The assault - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
